As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle from start to finish. You will have a high understanding of the subject matter and be able to work independently to produce high-quality deliverables.
Your critical thinking and leadership skills will enable you to inspire maximum contribution from all project participants, resulting in optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.

An Overview of the role:

  • Total responsibility for effective management of all project phases
  • Ensure monthly project deliverables are completed, including delivery plans, status reports, cost reports and meeting agendas
  • Establish project budget and overall project programme to ensure successful delivery in accordance with client requirements
  • Lead value engineering, buildability analysis and critically review design and documentation to maximise outcomes
  • Contract administration of all vendors in a professional manner
  • Represent the best interests of the client from inception to completion of projects
  • Create an environment where all team members are encouraged and motivated to contribute
  • Maintain positive relationships will all stakeholders and communicate via actions and example

  • Confidence to manage project delivery from inception to closure
  • Experience in managing cost reporting systems
  • Understanding of legal environment within projects with respect to planning, commercial aspects and delivery constraints
  • Ability to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants and authorities
  • Understand our obligations for complying with Environmental Health and Safety legislation
  • Willingness to assist in preparing project proposals and delivering presentations to secure new work opportunities
  • Detailed understanding of different project delivery methods

We are on the hunt for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and manage our construction projects across Australia. Join us to take charge of our exciting construction division!

As our Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from start to finish – from design and concept to completion – across many locations across the nation. This includes people management, financial tracking and reporting on outcomes, as well as bid writing. We are looking for a company-oriented, self-motivated individual who is up-to-date with Victorian Construction Industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of key deliverables, including value management, safety initiatives, structural adequacies, and verification of contracted works
  • Plan and manage construction processes including construction personnel and activities onsite.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
  • Managing the procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors
    Collaborate with team members, engineers, planners, drafts people and construction personnel.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly project updates, including project costs and potential changes for senior management and directors. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work in accordance with approved plans/drawings, contract specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Taking ownership for creating a safe working environment across all projects

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Relevant tertiary/ trade qualifications
  • Project Control experience including management of manpower scheduling and allocation of resources
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly recognise issues or foresee and navigate risk early
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Have a strong commitment to health, safety and quality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including MS Projects
